Playtech Announces Omni-Channel Mecca Bingo Solution

Playtech's pioneering omni-channel content has launched across the Mecca Bingo's entire product range. This includes their new Mecca Max handheld devices, enabling the leading brand to offer players the ultimate gaming experience!

This is ground-breaking technology that offers an 'anywhere-anytime', totally seamless connection of Playtech ONE's omni-channel games and systems across every channel and device. This includes Mecca's retail, mobile, online, and 12,000 in-hall bingo hand-held terminals. This is the first time that a supplier has successfully launched a complete and totally combined bingo software and content strategy.

As part of their initial omni-channel content launch, Playtech is offering its best-performing slot games, Adventures in Wonderland and Heart of the Jungle. They have gone live across all channels and devices, including the handhelds, and will be central to an extensive in-store as well as an online promotional campaign that Mecca is planning to launch in the coming weeks.

This new move follows the successful launch of Playtech's industry-leading retail server-based software this past year across Mecca Bingo's entire suite of over 2,300 UK terminals and a number of their other successful omni-channel system integrations, including their pioneering Coral Connect that has initiated over 260,000 customer sign-ups.

This nationwide retail deal, signed during summer in partnership with SG Gaming, has boosted Playtech's sizeable share of the UK LBO market. It is the largest ever within the UK retail bingo sector. It also complements an existing long-term online bingo partnership with Mecca, who is a key tier-one Playtech licensee.

Playtech Retail currently powers 40,000 terminals all over the globe and offers a full enterprise management system for land-based venues, providing licensees with complete operational control.

Making use of powerful back-office management tools, the system provides operators with all the necessary tools needed to run and manage their businesses, giving them total site control of their estate and player base.

The tools include content and multimedia management for players, rules-based rewards, jackpots, bonusing, tournaments, loyalty, responsible gaming, cash desk facilities, security and monitoring.

All of the features can be used for maximising profit via Playtech's analytics functionality. Tools such as real-time reporting, optimization, business intelligence, and player tracking capabilities mean that operators will be able to manage and modify all their activity based on success. At the same time, the system allows operators to segment the terminals and venues based on the value they offer to their business.

Shimon Akad, the COO of Playtech, said that the retail team, in line with their pioneering omni-channel strategy, is growing from strength to strength with regards to their relationship with Mecca.

Head of Slots at Mecca, Mohammed Zabed, said that they were delighted that the strategically important project had borne fruit following the nationwide software agreement they signed with Playtech earlier in the year. He continued that it is a bingo-first and goes a long way towards meeting their omni-channel strategy and, more importantly, their customer needs.
